Crazy Everett

My crazy child. I was on the computer doing my morning blog hop when I heard a bunch of noises coming from the puzzle stack. I figured it was Everett sitting on ground pulling the puzzles down on play with the pieces. I look down to find him like this.

He had pulled himself up to get to the puzzles easier. He is crazy. He is only 7 months old.

3rd Day is the Charm

This is a brag post about Cael.

Today was Cael's third day of school. He is adjusting so well that I am floored by him. When I was dropping him off at school, he proved to me what a big boy he is. We got out of the car to meet Ms. Patty. I was holding Cael's hand and a plate of cookies for a Halloween party. We greeted Ms. Patty and I handed her the cookies. Cael grabbed her other hand quickly. I let go of Cael's hand and said bye. He turned around, looked me in the eyes, and wave and said bye bye. No tears, no tantrums, nothing. Wow. He is loving school. I am so proud of him. I knew that he would adjust to school quickly, but dang.

Nate's Butt Farm

After picking Cael up from school yesterday we went to the pumpkin patch. Bate's Nut Farm, but I married into a family that has always called it Nate's Butt Farm. So that is how my boys will know it also. Here are just some of the pictures from our pumpkin picking adventure. We will carve the pumpkin tonight.

I just like this picture.

Hang on boys this ride may get bumpy.

Cael trying to find the perfect pumpkin. Can you tell that Cael isn't wearing a diaper?

Everett was thumping them to see which one sounded the best.

Cael was telling us that Everett was the best choice.

We got our pumpkin and we were ready to go.

This is the only shot we got of where both of the boys were looking at the camera.

First Day of School

Today was Cael's first day of preschool. His teacher is Ms. Patty. He goes from 11:30-2:30. First off let me say that no way is my baby old enough to go to school. I know he is, but I think today was harder on me than him.

Going to the car to go to school.

I tried to get him to hold this paper, so that we'd remember him exactly right for his first day of school ever. He wouldn't hold it, so I held it while we on the way to school.

Here is a picture of his classroom. Ms. Patty is in the red shirt and Ms. Liz in the white shirt. There are 5 kids in his class. I love those odds. Adam and I left right after I took this picture and we were no more than 20 feet from the door when Ms. Liz came out and told us that Cael wasn't crying anymore. Yay. He likes school.

This is him walking out with Ms. Liz coming to meet us. He is on the far side of her. He looks so cute and grown up with his backpack on.

Hugging Daddy while we were talking to his teachers.

All tuckered out after his long day. And yes he is asleep here. He sleeps with his eyes open a little just like his Daddy.

I am so thankful that today went so well. I know that he is going to do so good in school. He will learn so much and the structure will really help him catch up. Thanks to everyone for praying for us and reassuring me that it was going to be a good day.

I love you Cael.

Not the Stairs

Everett is just growing too quickly. Today I caught him trying to crawl the steps. He made it onto the first step. But tried to sit down and tumbled off. Great. He is only 7 months old. Looks like I need to buy another baby gate to block those steps. Everett just hates to watch his brother run around while he is left in the dust. He is trying as hard as he can to chase after Cael. I love these boys so much.

Sneak Peek

Here is a sneak peek at Cael and Everett in their Halloween costumes. They are so stinkin' cute and we just can't thank Auntie Jill enough. She is so good to us. Cael doesn't leave his vest on, so I'm going to have to sew a button on to keep it closed. I think that I might get a brown hat for Everett too. But we'll see.

Can you tell who they are?

Blow Out--Schmo Out

Last night Everett had the blow out of all blow outs. Pictures to prove it.

Fun Picture Tag

This picture is Bo rocking Cael to sleep during conference after returning from his mission. Bo didn't want to hold Cael because Bo knew that he'd fall asleep while trying to put Cael to sleep. Bo was so mad that he missed part of conference.
We love you Uncle Bo.

What you do?

Take the 4th picture from your 4th folder and post it.

I tag everyone who wants to play along.

7 Months Old

I can't believe Everett is already 7 months old. Here are some recent pictures of him. Nothing new going on with him. Still no teeth, but crawling around like crazy.

Do you guys remember my baby that had a flat butt when he was born? Not anymore.

Crawling after Mommy.

To Stitch or Not To Stitch

Cael decided that he wanted a scar on the back of his head like his brother. He slipped off of Grampy's recliner and hit his head on a side table. I was trying to decide if he needed stitches or not. It stopped bleeding within a couple of minutes, so I figured that stitches would probably be more tramatic than a scar. It looks a lot better now. Did I do the right thing?

These pictures were taken one hour after it happened.

Here is what his cut looks like on Thursday. I think it looks really good. I don't think the scar will be very big at all.

Protect Marriage--Vote Yes on Prop 8

I saw this on Celeste and Letti's blogs. I liked the way it was explained in this video.
I'll be voting Yes on 8 on Nov. 4th, will you?

Happy Birthday Nana

Happy Happy Birthday Nana Dear
Happy days will come to you all year
If I had a wish than it would be
A Happy Happy Birthday to you from me

Nana with Everett

Nana with Cael

I am so lucky to have you as my Mom. I love that we are best friends. It always makes me sad when I hear people talk about how they don't get along with their moms because I know what they are missing.
You are such a wonderful Nana to my boys too.
WE LOVE YOU FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!

Week in Review

This week has been really good for the boys. They are both learning and growing too quickly.

Cael is doing really well with the potty training. He even pooped in the potty last night. Hallelujah! The hard part is that he doesn't tell me when he needs to go potty, I am just taking him every hour. He is only wearing diapers during his nap and at bedtime.

Everett is now crawling on his hands and knees(and sometimes his feet). He also learned how to sit himself up from crawling position. He did it for the first time on Tuesday, but he mastered it yesterday. He loves being so mobile. Now he can chase Cael around and try to steal his cars.

Tag.......I'm It

I was tagged by Jill. So now I have to tell 7 random things about myself and tag 7 more people to join in the fun.

1. My favorite ride is The Tower of Terror. I loved it when we went to Disney World in 2004 and I was so excited when California Adventure built one. I still love it and could ride it over and over again.

2. I love being pregnant. It was such a great experience and I just loved everything about it. I would gladly be a sergeant for a family member who couldn't get pregnant.

3. I have never broken a bone, but I have had more stitches than anyone else in my family.

4. I regret not getting braces when I was in high school. I didn't want to have braces my senior year because I thought that it was going to be so special, but it was my least favorite year.

5. I can touch my nose with my tongue. When I was try to learn, I would push my nose flat so that I could reach it more easily. Now I have no problem reaching it.

6. I love writing names in cursive. I use to write all my friends and family members name on a piece of paper and decide who's name was the most fun to write.

7. My favorite calling is the nursery. I love kids. I've always played with the kids instead of socializing with the adults. So nursery was just the perfect fit.

I tag Ryanne, Mom, Leisa, Aunt Loyce, Anne, Anna, Chris

Crafts

This is a pumpkin that I made at a craft night with some of the girls in my ward. I haven't decorated it yet, so it will be cuter once I add some ribbon. I think that I'm going to make it Halloweenie.

Here is the ribbon that I bought to wrap around the stem. I haven't decided if I am going to paint a face on the pumpkin or not. I'm just not craft like my sisters and my mom. I guess that gene was all taken up by the time I was born.

Splish Splash

I took some pictures of Everett for Nana's bathroom yesterday. Which one is your favorite? I'll crop my arm out of the picture later.

Trick or Treat Smelly Feet

I'm trying to get into the Halloween mood and what better way than to take pictures of my boys in this cute pumpkin.

Here is Cael when he was 4 months old. I love his huge smile. He was such a happy baby.

Cael doesn't fit in it anymore. But it looks like he is wanting me to smell his feet.

Everett fits in it a lot better.

I had to get a picture of him with his mummy beanie on.

I just loved this shot too.
