Funny Sleeper

As everyone knows, Cael loves to cuddle. On Wed. he didn't want to go lay in bed to take his nap, he wanted to cuddle with me while I was rocking Everett to sleep. So he feel asleep sitting on the arm of the chair while leaning his head on my shoulder. Both of the boys fell asleep, but I had to get up to lay Everett down. I figured Cael would wake up. Nope. He just slid down the chair a little and fell back asleep. I was cracking up that this is how he wanted to sleep. Ouch.

5 Months Old

I can't believe that Everett is already 5 months old. Time has gone by so fast. He is starting to sit up. Mostly with the support of his hands helping hold him up, but it is a start. Things have been hard this last week because he has been a little snotty. He expects to being held all the time right now too. That make doing anything really hard for me. But he looks like he is almost over the sniffles, so it should be getting better soon. You can really see his crusty nose in the last picture. We love the newest member of the family and can't remember what is was like without him.

God Saw He Was Getting Tired

Today was the viewing for Ralph. I was really sad to see his body lying there, but I know that he is in a better place. It just makes me so thankful for all of the time that I have been given with all of those that I love.
I love you guys.

Here is a cool poem that was passed out with his picture next to it.

God Saw He Was Getting Tired

God saw he was getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So he put His arms around him
And whispered, "Come with me."
With tearful eyes we watched him suffer,
And saw him fade away;
Although we loved him dearly
We could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest;
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the Best!

You will be missed Papaw.

We Love You Papaw

Ralph Darrell Turner
8/15/24-8/12/08

Today Adam's Papaw passed away. We are going to miss him very much. He loved loved loved the boys. He always hugged, kissed, and pinched them. He was a very loving and welcoming guy. He would never greet us without hugs and kisses. I'm glad he was my papaw-in-law. But he never made me feel like I wasn't his own granddaughter.

This is a picture from Christmas 2006. I wish that we could have gotten together one more time to take more pictures with him.

Ride 'Em Cowboy

Here is Everett on his new horsey. He does pretty good in there for 10-20 minutes. Cael really likes it too because it makes noises and plays music.

Everett is waving to everyone.

Showing off. "Look Mom no hands."

Chillin'.

It is like he knew that I was cutting his head off in this picture, so he leaned down more so I could get his whole face in there.

Hide and Seek

Here are some pictures of Cael's new favorite hiding place. He fits in there so perfectly.

Matchy Matchy Blue Squared

Here are some recent pictures of my boys. Grammy bought them these matching shirts. Aren't they so cute? I love these pictures of them because you can see how different they look. Everett's eyes stand out so much when he is wearing blue.

Mr. Independant

Here is Cael trying to make himself some strawberry milk. He doesn't even ask for help anymore. He does as much as he can by himself. He can't open the fridge, so he can't do it all on his own. Plus, I would not trust him to pour milk by himself.

I just realized that I don't have any pictures of Cael on the blog. I'm such a bad Mommy.

Mmmm........

Here is Everett eating rice cereal for the first time. He didn't eat much off it, just pushed it around with his tongue.

He thought that it was funny to make me keep spooning it back into his mouth.

Look at those ears. They are so cute.

Favorite Photo Friday

Bo and Drake being crazy. I stole this picture off of Jill's blog. But it shows Bo exactly right.

Jill and Andee. Aren't they so cute? I think that Andee looks like Jill even though everyone else says that she looks like Neil.

Leisa and Everett. Leisa didn't want to let Everett and I come home after our short visit for her birthday. Everett loved snuggling with his auntie.

I love love love this picture of Papa and Tutu with their newest grandkids. Both Everett and Andee loved being held by them.

This is Nana and Everett sleeping. Thanks to everyone for holding Everett so much. He still only wants to sleep in someones arms.

I Need Help

Leisa & Jill
I need your help to make my blog cute. Please and thank you.

On July 9th the boys had their 3 years and 4 months physical. I know Everett's is early, but it was either 11 days early or a month late. So we chose the earlier appointment.

Cael is 36.5 inches tall and 42 pounds. That puts him in the 50% in height and 90% in weight.

Everett is 24 inches tall and 14 pounds. That puts him in the 75% in height. I don't know what the % was for the weight, but Dr. Hansen said that it was on the smaller side for his age. Everett got 4 shots today and took them like a champ. He also had to take an anti-diarrhea orally. He loves to eat and he didn't spill a drop of it. The nurse was very impressed.

So, I've got a line backer and a string bean.
Here is a video of Everett rolling over. Sorry that it is long. Of course he wasn't wanting to roll over on my time line. I think that it is worth the wait. Cael is also running and jumping in the background of the video. You even get to hear him give a little shout during it. He also climbs unto my lap at one point, so the camera gets a little shaky. Sorry if it make anyone sea sick.

Everett now rolls over from his back to his belly and belly to his back. He is also scooting around whenever I lay him down. He doesn't stay on his blanket for long when he is down on the ground. He doesn't enjoy being down for too long either, he would rather be held. I blame his grandma's and aunt's for that one. Whenever he is around them, he is held the entire time.
Well I finally broke down and started my own family blog. I've been living off the Christian Kiddos one, but I think everyone is getting sick of it being dominated by the Turner's.

So here we go again.
