Everett Turns Two

Here are some pictures from Everett's second birthday. It was really low key, but he still enjoyed it. I can't believe that he is two already. Time is flying by way too fast. He is such a sweet and cute boy. He loves to cuddle and give kisses. He also likes to copy everything that Cael does. If Cael is jumping while dancing than so is Everett. It is so cute. I love Everett so much and am so thankful that he joined our family.















I let Everett pick out his cake and he wanted Wall-E. It turned out really cute, plus they play with the figurines now too.





















Everett loves watching Mommy play soccer, so we got him a set so he can play too. He is pretty good too.
















He likes playing with phones and remotes, so he got his own.
















My boys loves balloons, so I always like to get them a bunch to help them enjoy their day even more.

Happy 2nd Birthday Everett

I can't believe it but our little Everett is two years old. That was the fastest two years ever. He is getting so big. He is such a crazy monkey that climbs on EVERYTHING. He also has to do everything that his brother does. I often call him Monkey Do because he sees Cael and copies him right away. He has his two year appointment next week, so I'll be able to give the stats. But I am going to guess and we'll see how close I am to what is right.
Beki's guesses: weight 31 pounds and height 31 inches.
Real stats: weight 31 and 1/2 pounds and height is 34 inches.
When I took him to the doctors today, he feel asleep before he got his shot. So they gave it to him while he was asleep. He opened his eyes and acted like he was going to cry, but decided to keep sleeping. It was so funny and nice. He is so strong and fights it whenever he is getting shots, but he was the perfect kid today.

I can't believe that you are 10 years old. You have been my one and only nephew for 10 years. You are such a smart kid and the sweetest boy I've ever known. I love you so much and I am so glad that my boys have such an amazing cousin to look up too. Have a wonderful day Devo. We love you forever.

Brown Bear Brown Bear

Last night when I was getting Cael ready for bed. I started reciting Brown Bear Brown by Bill Martin Jr. Cael loves that book, so I ran into the other room and got it for him to read while we did our bed time routine. Thanks Nana for getting it for him. He got so excited to read it and was being so cute reading it out loud, that I had to get my camera and get a video of him doing it. He was trying to read it to me, but Everett was also wanting the book for himself. So you get to see how my boys fight over everything. Cael is talking so much better now. I think he will impress you all.

Everett Somersault

Here is a video of Everett doing a somersault. I think he is doing really good at it. You also get to see how Everett wants his picture taken. He runs up as close to the camera as he can. He is such a cheese. But I still love him.

Last night Everett pooped in the potty. I was so excited. This was his first time doing it and I was so surprised that he did it.

Cael's Award

Cael had his first awards ceremony at school today. It was really cool to see him interacting with his peers. I always wish that I could be a fly on the wall to watch my kids to see how they act when I'm not around.

Before

Here is a picture of Cael on his 2nd birthday wearing a underwear set that Nana got for him. It is sized at a 4T, but as you can tell it fit him perfect when he was 2 while still in diapers. It got packed away with all the other 2T clothes once they were too small. He only wore 2T for only six months. So he didn't wear it for long.

Jump forward two years.

I pull out all the 2T clothes for Everett to wear now. Cael sees the pirate shirt and becomes obsessed.

After

Here is Cael in his pirate shirt now. It is way too small, but he loves it so much.

So the story from the beginning is that I was pulling out the 2T clothes of Cael's for Everett. I see the cute pirate undies set and put them on Everett. They fit him really good and he likes to be like Cael and wear underwear. Cael sees it and comes up to me and says, "my turn, shirt" and he keeps pointing at the shirt that Everett is wearing. So I asked him, "do you want to wear that shirt?". "Yes, my turn." So I take it off Ev and put it on Cael. We all have a good laugh about how small it is on him. I take it off of him and put in back on Ev saying that it is Ev's turn. (Cael is working on taking turns at school.) Cael immediately says "my turn" again and it is apparent that he really likes the shirt. So I put it back on him. Whatever. He wears in the rest of the night and he asked to sleep in too. Okay. And so it goes for three straight days. Cael would not take the shirt off. He was wearing it as an undershirt when he was at school and was sleeping in it too. He would take it off for a bath, but as soon as he got out of the tub he was asking for his shirt. He isn't wearing it all the time now. But he asks for it all the time. He comes home from school and takes off his clothes and asks for his pirate shirt. He gets upset when it is being washed.
So I am on the lookout for another underwear set for him this weekend. Wish me luck.

Catch Up Finally

I am so sorry for my sad sad blog. I look at it everyday and say I need to just post something, but than I say I'll do it later. So no more. I am going to post something everyday to catch up. Starting now.

A New Niece or Nephew

Jill and Neil found out the sex of their baby yesterday. I am so glad that I am going to have another....

NEPHEW!!!

I only have one nephew now, so I'm excited to have another. That also even outs the boy/girl ratio in our family. 4 girls and 4 boys.

Yay for the Galyan family. I love you guys and can't wait to meet my newest nephew in May.

I'm Back......

Okay, so the computer is fixed so I promise that I'll be back dating posts all the way from Christmas forward. How sad is that? I'm a month behind on blogging.

I can't believe that you are 30 years old. That is three decades old. The scariest part about that means that in two years, I'll be that old. I wish that we could have been there to party with you. We'll see you soon and I'll be sure to kiss and pinch you 30 times. I love you so much sister.

7 Years Already

I can't believe it has been seven years since Adam and I got married. It was a fun by crazy day. When I say crazy, I mean we kept losing needed things. Not funny on the wedding day, but really funny to think of now.

Funny lost item part one:
The day before the wedding we went to get our marriage license. No biggie. Fast forward to the day of the wedding. The girls and I were all getting ready in our room. Leisa, Jill, Kaytee, Anna, and Jennifer. My Mom, Bonnie, her best friend Jackie, Jackie's daughter Kelsey, and Bonnie's Aunt Hazel are all there to get everything cleaned up for the reception that will be in our suite following the ceremony. I give Jill, my maid of honor, the marriage license and ask her to be in charge of it. "Sure, I got it." We head downstairs for the wedding. The wedding coordinator comes in the room and asks for the marriage license, I tell her my sister Jill will be down with it in a minute. Okay no problem. Jill comes in the room and I tell her that they need the marriage license now. Her face goes blank. Ummmmmm. She forgot it upstairs, no biggie. She and a few others go upstairs to look for it. No one can find it. So a few more people go upstairs to look for it. At this point the wedding coordinators is telling us that if we can't find it soon we will have to come back later to get married. There is another wedding that has booked the room. Starting to stress. Finally everyone comes back down with it. My mom had found it, in a shoe box, on top of the safe in the closet. We don't know who put it in there, but we are just glad we found it. Okay the wedding can start now.

Or so we think.

Funny lost item part two:
**Back story: I called the boys room the morning of the wedding to tell Adam that his bag with all his contact stuff was in our room. He said that he'd sent Bo up to our room to get it and my ring. So Bo is woken out of a dead sleep to get this stuff from me.**
The wedding coordinator pops her head in the ask where my ring was. The preacher wanted to make sure that Jill, the maid of honor and Casey, the best man had the rings. I told her the Bo, my brother has my ring and Jill already has Adam's. She leaves and comes back a minute later with Bo. So I ask Bo where my ring is. Blank look. He doesn't remember who he gave the ring too or if he left it in the room. He just doesn't know. I bust into tears. I am mostly sad because my ring is actually Adam's late grandmother's ring. We aren't going to postpone the wedding to look for the ring, so Anna and Jennifer both say that I could use their engagement ring as a stand in so that we can do the ceremony. Jennifer's ring doesn't fit, so I borrow Anna's ring. The wedding can finally start. Yay. I'm still a little upset during the ceremony because of the lost ring, but am so excited to be marrying Adam. After the ceremony we go into a portrait studio and start taking wedding pictures. Jill runs into the studio with my ring. Yay. We ask her who had the ring and none other than Aunt Mariah. How did Aunt Mariah end up with it? So this is the story. Bo gave Adam the ring. Adam gave it to my mom who was helping out with Devin, the ring bearer. When Adam asked my mom where the ring was she said she gave it to Leisa. But she really gave to Aunt Mariah. I couldn't care less after I got my ring back. It was a funny story starting the next day.


Adam I love you more today than our wedding day seven years ago. I am such a lucky girl.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year Friends. I know that I have been a major slacker with blogging lately. Sorry. I will be posting early next week. The boys and I have been going a little stir crazy this week since we were sick last week and didn't leave the house at all. I am feeling like I am getting sick now. But I hope that it is just from lack of sleep. I will be doing a lot of sleep for the next two days since Adam will be home.
