My New Camera

Adam got me a new camera for Christmas. It is a Canon power shot. I LOVE it. Here are some pictures of my boys with it.

9 Months Old

Everett is nine months old. I can't believe it. He weights 21 pounds, 50th percentile. 27 inches long, 50th percentile. And his head is in the 85 percentile. I got a big boy with a big head. He finally got some more teeth too. Yep. Four top teeth and one lonely bottom tooth. I'll try to get a good mouth shot to post later. I've been trying, but he doesn't want me to take the binky out of his mouth.

One Week Away

One week until Christmas, I can't believe that it is already Christmas. Here are some of my Christmas decorations. I love my Willow Tree Nativity.




























I need some help. Which one of these pictures should I get printed for a Christmas present? The frame with say, "Waiting for Santa 2008". I love both the pictures so I really need some feedback.

One Step

Everett took one step today not holding on to anything. He was walking along the couch and wanted to look at Cael's backpack that was sitting on my chair. He couldn't hold reach the chair while holding onto the couch, so he just let go and took his step. I think he will be walking in the next month, but I am hoping that he will take him time and take it slowly.

Growing Up Way Too Fast

Here is Everett showing off his newest trick. Standing alone. He can only do it for a few seconds at a time, but the longest was for 15 seconds. He is so crazy. Eight and a half months old and doing this to me. He is also so fast at crawling that I have to use the baby gate to keep him out of the kitchen. He makes a bee line for the cat food and tried to eat it before I can stop him. He actually swallowed a piece the other day.

The Tooth......One Week Later

Here is Everett's lonely tooth one week later. It is coming out more and more everyday. I keep thinking that he'll get another one any day now, but none so far.

Everett cut his first tooth the day after Thanksgiving. Isn't it weird how he got a top tooth first?

Yay for Thanksgiving

I am so excited for Thanksgiving. I'm so glad that the Bowlers have invited us to the cabin. I love being around family and with all of the family that will be there, I should get my fill for a little while. I just wish that Leisa, Scott, Ry, Dev, and Bo could be there too.

But on the bright side I get to see them in December. I love my family so much and wish that we all lived closer to each other. I know that I say that all the time, but I mean it. Really and truly.

I think Everett is finally ready to get his first tooth, so I hope that he isn't being a crabby pants while we are all together.

8 Months

I can't believe it, but it is true. Everett is 8 months old. Man, this year has gone by so quickly. These are just some random pictures I took of Everett one morning last week. It is so cold in the morning, so I put this beenie on him. I doesn't look like it fits him right, but I still think he looks adorable.

Cael is so funny about Everett's new toys, he thinks that they are for him. We pulled the walker out of storage and he decided to crawl in there himself. He looks so big when he starts playing with baby stuff.

Texas Sheet Cake

I'm making some Texas Sheet Cake tonight, yum. Here is the recipe if you want to have some too.

2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon

shift dry ingredients into bowl

in sauce pan bring to boil

2 sticks butter or marg
3-4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water

pour over dry ingredients, mix well and add

1/2 buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 well beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

bake in greased pan at 375

icing, mix and bring to boil

3-4 tbsp. cocoa
1 stick of butter or marg
1/2 c. buttermilk

pour over

1 lbs powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 c. chop nuts

beat until smooth and smooth over cake while still hot

Christmas Exchange

Jill and I decided to pull names for our Christmas exchange this year. We tried calling Bo and Leisa, but they didn't answer their phones. It is a $25 maximum for presents.

Since Leisa's family will be on a cruise on Christmas Day, I think that we should get everyone their presents by December 15th and than we'll have a day to open our presents from each other. What do you guys think? Please let me know. Also, I think we need to give ideas of what we would like in the comments section.

Woo hoo, prop 8 passed. We are so excited. We want to thank everyone for working so hard to get this prop to pass and everyone for voting.

The Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round

Here are some pictures of Cael's school bus. I didn't get pictures of him getting into the bus yesterday because my camera was in the car. But here are some from getting home from school and leaving for school this morning. He doesn't like the bus yet, but I think he will get use to it by the end of the week.
