My Crazy 1 Year Old

I thought that I'd make a list of 12 things about Everett at 12 months of age.

1. He has beautiful blue eyes.
2. He has toe blonde hair, but he hardly has any.
3. He weights 23.4 pounds, 50%.
4. He is 30 inches tall, 50%.
5. He is strong. He can move a dining chair.
6. He loves food. All food. I haven't found anything that he doesn't like or won't eat.
7. He has six teeth.
8. He can sign "more".
9. He can drink out of sippy cup.
10. He has been walking for over two months.
11. He has been climbing stair for over four months.
12. He has learned how to go down the stairs. I've only seen him do it down the two stairs, but he knows how to do it.

Party Time

Today was Everett's party. It was nice, but stressful at the same time. Some random things happening. Two batches of cupcakes needed, not because we had so many people. But because Cael decided to help himself to the cupcakes while everyone else was eating pizza. 24 cupcakes all over the floor, frosting side down. Sweet. Atleast I got a picture of it before it happened.
We want to thank everyone again for all his sweet presents.
-Grammy and Grampy spoiled him rotten, as usual with tons of cars and other fun goodies.
-Nana and Wayne got him some really good books.
-Auntie Leisa and family got him all his decorations for the party. I must say that it was nice not having to stress about getting all of those.
-Uncle Nolan got him a musical alphabet wheel. It is really cute.
-Duffy/Shults family got him two really cute outfits and cute jammies.
-Papa and Tutu, Grandpa Doc, and Mamaw gave him money.
We love you guys so much. Now to the picture overload.

1. Devin is a great cousin. He plays so great with his younger cousins.

5. Devin is the sweetest boy you'll ever know. He makes sure never to hurt anyone's feelings.
6. Devin loves school. He tries to go to school everyday and get good grades.
7. Devin was born on St. Patrick's Day, but I think it should be called St. Devin's Day.
8. Devin is always sharing his room when we come to visit. He doesn't even mind sharing his bed.
9. Devin is such a tough kid. Even when he doesn't feel good, you can see him smile.

Guess Who I Saw Today?!?

Adam, Everett, and I had lunch with Papa and Tutu today. We love them. We are going to miss them so much when they move to Colorado.

Kittens

We have 7 new kittens at our house. I got to play midwife for Mama Bella. She only wanted me in there for the first delivery though, than her protective Mama side kicked in a she could careless about me being in there. If anyone wants a kitten in 6-8 weeks, let me know.


Letti requested pictures of the kittens, so here are a couple. I numbered the kittens by their birth order. The picture of the kitten in my hand is number 1. Does anyone know how to tell the sex of kittens? I need to know because Bonnie and Don want to keep one, but they only want a girl. Weird question, I know.

Disneyland

Adam and I decided to take Cael to Disneyland today for half the day. We measured him and we were pretty sure that he would measure 40 inches. Once Cael hits 40" he will be able to ride everything at Disneyland expect Indiana Jones. So before we went we stopped by Payless and bought a pair of shoes that had big soles, so that we could give him a little extra boost. All to no avail. He was still just shy of the marker. We were so bummed. Disneyland was really crowded, so were weren't sure if we were going to stay very long. We went on Haunted Mansion and walked around a little while we decided. Than Adam remember Fantasmic would be on at 9, so we stayed because we knew that Cael would like that. Adam was such a nice Dad and saved a spot for us while Cael and I wasted some time before it started. Once we joined Adam near the lake, Cael was pretty good until about 8:45. He was tired, so he starting trying to take him clothes off. Than the lights went out and he was quiet and totally enthralled. It was a really good show, lots of lights, music, characters, and fireworks. I suggest it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
